[Remote] Junior Backend / Signal Processing Developer

Norsely is hiring a Junior Backend / Signal Processing Developer to build Kotlin-based signal processing pipelines and support real-time EEG data streaming and visualization. The role focuses on optimizing low-latency neurofeedback loops and growing with a small team.
Responsibilities
- Work on Kotlin-based signal processing pipelines
- Handle real-time data streaming (EEG → visualization)
- Optimize for low-latency neurofeedback loops
- Grow with a small team solving hard, meaningful problems
Skills
- You have Kotlin, Go, or Java experience (or strong willingness to learn Kotlin)
- You're comfortable with concurrent programming (coroutines, async, threading)
- You have interest in signal processing, DSP, or applied math (Fourier transforms, filtering)
- You enjoy learning new domains and digging into technical challenges
- Prior BCI/neuroscience experience (we'll teach the domain)
- Senior-level experience (we're looking for potential, not pedigree)
- Experience with real-time data streams (WebSocket, Kafka, etc.)
- Background in engineering, physics, or mathematics
- Familiarity with audio/video processing or any DSP work
