[Remote] Lead Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Harnham is partnering with a rapidly growing healthcare technology company. The company is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the evolution of a modern cloud-based data platform, lead complex data engineering initiatives, influence architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and build scalable solutions supporting healthcare analytics programs and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable ELT pipelines, data models, and cloud-based data solutions handling complex healthcare data sets
- Lead architecture and modernization efforts, helping transition and optimize enterprise data platforms for scalability, performance, and reliability
- Drive data quality initiatives through automated validation, monitoring, profiling, and observability frameworks
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to a small team of engineers while establishing best practices across data engineering
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to solve complex data challenges and deliver impactful solutions
Skills
- 100% Remote (U.S. Based)
- U.S. Citizens & Green Card Holders Only
- 10+ years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on expertise with SQL and Python
- Experience building and managing large-scale ELT/ETL pipelines
- Expertise with modern data orchestration tools such as Airflow, Astronomer, Dagster, dbt, or similar
- Experience leading architecture decisions, technical direction, and engineering teams
- Healthcare data experience is required , including working with:

- • Provider Data
- • Healthcare Analytics Platforms
- Experience working in cloud and modern data environments
