[Remote] Lead Network Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TekStream Solutions is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. The role leads three engineers and collaborates with SecOps and an MSP to ensure network availability, security, scalability, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and guide three direct reports
- Partner with SecOps to enforce security policies and resolve vulnerabilities
- Work alongside our MSP to optimize network delivery and support
- Oversee routing, switching, and data center connectivity
- Manage Cisco Firepower, VPNs, and Cisco Meraki environments
- Configure and maintain F5 load balancers
- Handle network backups, basic virtualization tasks, and MPLS circuits
Skills
- 7+ years of progressive enterprise network services experience
- Operations, troubleshooting, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Proven history in service performance and technical improvement
- Cisco CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent professional network certification required
- Deep expertise in Cisco routing and switching architectures
- Proven experience with Cisco Firepower and Cisco Meraki
- Strong hands-on experience with F5 technology
- Solid background in data center connectivity and hardware support
- Experience managing MPLS, network backups, and basic virtualization
- Strong understanding of SOC frameworks
- Bachelors degree: in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration
- Prior experience working with a HiTrust-certified MSP
