[Remote] LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (REMOTE)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Flik Hospitality Group, a member of Compass Group USA, provides food and hospitality services and invests in employee training and development. The company is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist/Instructional Designer for a 15-month contract to develop policies, procedures, training materials, and internal documentation while supporting instructional design and LMS initiatives. The role is fully remote with working hours aligned to Eastern Standard Time.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and update company policies, procedures, training materials, and internal documentation
- Ensure all content aligns with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into clear policies, learning materials, and job aids
- Support Learning & Development efforts, including creating guides, training content, eLearnings, and enablement resources
- Maintain consistency in tone, format, and version control across all documentation
- Governance and lifecycle management: establish review cycles, ownership, version control, templates, standards, and retirement processes across learning and procedural content
- Support audits and compliance reviews related to policy and training documentation
Skills
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly language for both policies and training materials
- Experience working in corporate or regulated environments
- Experience in project management, including managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables
- Ability to conduct needs analysis for designing ILT, vILT, digital, and other blended learning solutions in support of SOPs, standards, and compliance with operational requirements
- Experience with one or more learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Lectora, Captivate, etc
- Experience supporting Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives or creating training content strongly valued
- Experience in policy writing, technical writing, documentation development, or compliance-related content
- Background in document writing, content development, or instructional design is a plus
