Remote Logistics Coordinator – Evening Shift Company: Long Island Logistics – Landstar Agency Location: El Paso, TX (100% Remote) Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM Mountain Time (3:00 PM–11:00 PM Eastern Time) Compensation: Based on experience Long Island Logistics, an established Landstar freight transportation agency, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Remote Logistics Coordinator to join our evening operations team. This is a work-from-home position supporting our transportation operations during the evening hours. We are looking for someone who is organized, communicates well, and can work independently. Previous logistics or trucking experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor scheduled freight pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate with truck drivers, carriers, and customers via email and phone.
- Track shipments and provide status updates.
- Assist with locating and booking trucks when needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve routine transportation issues.
- Maintain accurate shipment information and notes in our transportation management system.
- Escalate urgent issues to management when necessary.
- Ensure shipments are properly monitored throughout the evening.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers, email, and web-based software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Dependable, punctual, and responsive.
- Comfortable communicating with drivers and customers by phone.
- Previous experience in logistics, dispatching, transportation, or customer service is a plus.
- Must have reliable internet access and a quiet home workspace.
