[Remote] Manager, Software Development Engineering

They are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead three engineering teams responsible for core platform services, oversee engineering delivery, guide architectural decisions, and promote the adoption of AI-driven development practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor three Agile software engineering teams
- Own the technical roadmap and delivery for Inventory, Discovery, and Identity Graph
- Guide the development of cloud-native microservices built with .NET 9, Azure Cosmos DB, and Elasticsearch
- Drive the design of scalable distributed systems and cloud services
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, UX, and Engineering leadership on technical strategy
- Promote the use of AI coding assistants, design tools, and automated testing
- Build a collaborative engineering culture focused on innovation, quality, and career development
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing Agile software engineering teams
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably with .NET/C# or similar backend technologies
- Strong experience designing distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
- Experience building and operating scalable applications on Azure or AWS
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience launching new teams or products in ambiguous environments
- Hands-on experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB and Elasticsearch
- Background in identity management, cybersecurity, or Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Knowledge of graph databases or relationship-based data models
- Experience scaling SaaS or enterprise software engineering organizations
- Experience establishing AI-first engineering practices and measuring their impact
