[Remote] Materials And Process Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Butler Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Materials and Process Engineer to support Materials and Process Engineering activities across all product lines. The role focuses on materials selection, process and design data development, specification creation and approval, and collaboration with supply chain, engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting Materials and Process (M&P) Engineering activities for all product lines. Specifically, identification and recommendation of materials, provision of substantiating performance and process data, development and analysis of design data & allowables, and creation or amending of procurement and process specifications
- Individual will perform design review and approval for: materials (metallic, non-metallic, & composite), material processing notes, producibiltiy, environmental conformance and selection of protective finishes
- Exposure to Static Systems including but not limited to Airframe, Interiors, Propulsion as well as Dynamic Systems including Blades, Rotors, Controls/Hydraulics and Transmissions
- The position will also interface and support the material supply chain, the parts supply chain and partners, Supplier Support Engineering, Product Integrity, Procurement, and Operations organizations, in addition to Design Engineering support
