[Remote] Mechanical Engineer - Process Systems
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The company is an innovative fusion-based technology company working to commercialize fusion across multiple applications. The Mechanical Engineer - Process Systems will prepare and issue engineering design packages and technical documentation for process systems, including off-gas, uranium handling, waste processing, tanks, support structures, piping, and valves.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for preparing and issuing design packages, specifications, drawings, test plans, calculations, reports, and quality classification forms for systems such as:
- Off-gas processing systems
- Uranium handling systems
- Waste processing systems
- Liquid tanks, support structures, and interconnecting piping and valves
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering - specific experience in tank and piping design strongly preferred
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code and ASME Tank design
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3-D, SolidWorks, AutoPipe
- Experience with fire protection including NFPA 801 is a plus
