[Remote] Mobile Engineer - Android (Senior Level)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rune Labs is advancing precision neurology through software, data science, and care delivery innovation. They are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer - Android to build an app from the ground up and collaborate closely with the iOS team.
Responsibilities
- You’ll be the first Android Engineer at Rune Labs and start building an app from the ground up on your first day
- You won’t be alone, but work closely with the iOS team to help build shared layers and libraries
Skills
- 5+ years of programming experience
- Professional experience with Kotlin
- A track record for developing and releasing apps in production
- Experience with Agile Development or experience at a Startup
- Clear, thoughtful communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Design before code: Experience writing and sharing ideas through RFCs, design docs, or technical specs
- Modern tooling: Use of agentic tooling to extend your abilities, while maintaining a deep, foundational understanding of the underlying code
- Autonomous & collaborative: Eagerness to work closely with teammates, while being comfortable taking a project on solo
- You must reside in and be authorized to work in either the U.S. or Canada
- Experience in regulated industries
- Strong product sense, and ability to work closely with Product Managers
- Experience launching an Android app in an organization with an existing iOS app
