[Remote] Network Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Prescient Solutions is an award-winning Managed IT Services Partner providing CIO-level advisory support and on-site and remote IT services. The Network Engineer will maintain, configure, and secure client network infrastructure, support operational and engineering functions, troubleshoot issues, document solutions, and mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, Configure and Secure our client's network infrastructure
- Work cross-functionally across our client's enterprises between technology and the rest of their business to design and implement large scale solutions
- Implement Prescient Solutions' best practices
- Supports both operational and engineering functions at our client sites
- Troubleshoots and maintains client's IT network 24/7
- Evaluates customer generated requirements and works with the clients to ensure the implementation meets the clients' needs
- Works with technicians and engineering groups at both Prescient Solutions and at the client locations to troubleshoot and resolve issues as required
- Prepares operational and technical documentation
- Mentors junior team members; and
- Performs other duties and assists with special projects as needed
Skills
- 5 - 8 years of experience configuring, installing, supporting, and maintaining network hardware and software infrastructure including switches, routers and firewalls
- Proficient with Cisco Meraki-based networking
- Able to work on-site in Pingree Grove, IL for projects
- Able to balance multiple priorities concurrently
- Authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time
