[Remote] Operations/Manufacturing Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Elite Talent Advisors is seeking an Operations/Manufacturing Engineer to serve as a critical liaison between plants and corporate engineering. The role focuses on optimizing performance, elevating safety standards, and creating consistency across the network.
Responsibilities
- Interpret PID
- Lead site infrastructure such as chilled water, HVAC, compressed air and applicable projects within governing plants
- Manage CAPEX infrastructure projects across the client network
- Champion continuous improvement and 5S implementations across all sites with a strong focus on efficiency, safety, and performance
- Partner with local plant teams to standardize tooling, equipment, and operational processes across sites
- Serve as the go-to resource for root cause analysis (RCA) and provide hands-on support to plant maintenance teams
- Build and nurture vendor relationships, ensuring high standards and consistent service from contractors and suppliers
- Assist each site in building, maintaining, and controlling standardized SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Ensure all engineering practices meet safety and regulatory compliance standards
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Operational problem-solving and delivering sustainable results
- Deep understanding of asset care, infrastructure, and reliability engineering
- Ability to manage large CAPEX projects and execute tactical improvements
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Solid business acumen and operational insight
- SolidWorks is a plus
- Prior exposure to the plastics industry is a strong advantage
