[Remote] Patch Engineer (BigFix & Vulnerability Management)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The client is a leading digital transformation solutions provider and IT services company. They are seeking an experienced Patch Engineer to support enterprise endpoint security and vulnerability remediation by analyzing vulnerabilities, testing and deploying patches, managing BigFix patch compliance, and coordinating timely remediation across workstation and server environments.
Responsibilities
- Analyze vulnerability scan reports and identify affected systems, applications, and software components
- Investigate, validate, and remediate security vulnerabilities across enterprise endpoints
- Perform workstation and server patching activities to reduce organizational cyber risk
- Manage patch deployment, compliance monitoring, and remediation activities using BigFix
- Research vendor security advisories, release notes, and remediation guidance to determine appropriate fixes
- Test software updates and patches in lower environments to ensure functionality, compatibility, and security before deployment
- Validate successful remediation through follow-up scans and compliance reporting
- Troubleshoot patching issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve deployment failures
- Collaborate with Information Security, Infrastructure, Application Support, and Endpoint Management teams to meet remediation SLAs
- Document testing results, remediation procedures, deployment recommendations, and known issues
- Monitor emerging vulnerabilities, security advisories, and critical threats requiring urgent patch deployments
- Support incident response activities related to critical and zero-day vulnerabilities

- 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST (Monday to Friday)
