[Remote] Platform Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Green Key Resources is representing a fast-growing FinTech firm that works with large-scale market data processing, real-time surveillance algorithms, and enterprise-grade reporting systems. The Platform Engineer will build, automate, secure, and support AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, while improving platform reliability and enabling efficient, secure software delivery. The role also involves monitoring, incident response, security, and contributing to long-term platform strategy.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
- Administer and optimize Kubernetes environments supporting production workloads
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and related tools
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Partner with software engineering teams to streamline development and release processes
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
- Improve platform reliability, performance, and scalability
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Strengthen cloud, infrastructure, and network security controls
- Contribute to infrastructure architecture and long-term platform strategy
Skills
- • 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- • Strong experience with Docker and containerized applications
- • Experience supporting AWS cloud environments
- • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms and deployment automation
- • Strong Linux administration skills
- • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- • Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and network segmentation
- • Experience with Amazon EKS
- • Cloud security and network security experience
- • Exposure to Zero Trust security principles
- • Experience with Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar monitoring tools
- • AWS certifications
- • Experience supporting highly available production environments
