[Remote] Platform Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Piper Companies is seeking a Platform Engineer for a world-leading technology organization in the United States. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure and developer platforms, creating self-service tooling, automating infrastructure operations, and improving developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cloud-native platform infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes and AWS services
- Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions to streamline provisioning and platform operations
- Create and enhance self-service tools and platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to deploy applications efficiently
- Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability while driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to establish deployment standards and operational best practices
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure roles
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and Linux administration in production environments
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and cloud-native platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills with distributed systems, networking, and infrastructure technologies
