Remote position-SQL DBA/Developer-W2

SQL DBA/Developer Position Delhaize America Location: Remote Top Requirements:

• 5-7 years of SQL Database experience including scripting, support, upgrades, patching, etc.
• Strong understanding of how databases interface with the applications
• Strong understanding of how operating systems interface with the operating systems (ie. Linux)
• Comfortable working in a role where they may have to jump in and help out in different areas. The focus will be SQL DBA work, but expected to help out in other areas.
• Comfortable working on-call rotation (typically 1 week a quarter)
• Strong communication, collaboration and documentation skills

Day to Day Responsibilities/Project specifics: Overview: The individual will be asked to participate as part of an agile IT team. This role will have a particular focus on database knowledge and database activities such replication and using SQL scripting to extract needed data. Willingness to learn and be part of a team that is continually improving. The team supports a production application, and off hours work is expected when the production system is having critical outages.

• 5 years IT experience (Proven work history required for all items listed in this document)
• Databases: MS SQL Server and postgres - familiarity and concepts (2016/2019)

Database tuning Fluent in SQL Fluent DB Concepts Understanding of relational databases Indexes Backend maintenance Trace file construction Performance analysis DB Replication (a plus) Encryption (a plus)

• Operating systems: Windows and Linux
• Familiarity and concepts for both
• Technical depth in at least one

Applications:.NET and Java How they work Environmental requirements Does not need to have hardcore programming experience in all areas

• Architecture experience

Experience in requirements definition and solution architecture Knowledge of basic tools such as use cases, sequence diagrams, network and infrastructure diagrams, UML Design documentation Understanding of the interplay between business and technology
