[Remote] Program Director Future Interest

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Harlem Lacrosse supports students in low-income communities through academic, athletic, and social-emotional development. The Program Director coaches lacrosse, tutors and mentors students, builds relationships with families and school staff, supports college and career pathways, and collects participant growth data.

Responsibilities

• Designing culturally relevant and trauma-informed academic, athletic, and social-emotional programming
• Mentoring and tutoring students during daily study halls at the school
• Planning and leading lacrosse practices
• Traveling with the team to clinics, games, and tournaments as well as field trips to professional work environments, educational institutions, museums, cultural or historical sites, and outdoor activities (some overnight travel with the team is required)
• Building meaningful relationships with parents and families, as well as faculty, staff, and administrators at the school site to support student progress
• Recruiting volunteers to help with student services and capacity building
• Supporting students on their path to college and/or career
• Collecting data about participants' academic, athletic, and social emotional growth through the program
