[Remote] Program Manager, Avionics
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gilat Satellite Networks develops satellite communication solutions, including in-flight connectivity and advanced SATCOM systems, through its Gilat Stellar Blu subsidiary. The Program Manager, Avionics will manage customer programs for satellite terminal and system solutions, leading delivery, schedules, risks, milestones, budgets, and cross-functional coordination with customers, engineering, operations, and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer programs and serve as the primary company representative for assigned customers
- Lead program delivery, including schedule, scope, risks, opportunities, and customer commitments
- Coordinate regular program reviews and key milestones, including PDRs and CDRs
- Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure successful program execution
- Support proposal development, strategic planning, budgeting, and cross-functional project activities
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive program success and integrated solutions
Skills
- Bachelor's degree – a must
- 5+ years of experience in a similar Program Management role
- Program Management experience – a must
- Previous commercial aviation experience
- Experience with aviation systems, ISPs, or complex aircraft installations
- Strong planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Microsoft Project or similar tools required
- Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship
- Experience with aircraft certification programs (FAA, EASA, TCCA, etc.) – advantage
- Familiarity with aircraft engineering drawings and documentation – advantage
- Experience with commercial aviation IFEC products or services – advantage
