[Remote] Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. X4 Engineering is working with a specialist turbine services business expanding its field operations team. The Technical Project Manager will lead turbine service and maintenance projects, serve as the technical point of contact, and coordinate personnel, customers, contractors, schedules, and project delivery from mobilisation through close-out. The role requires extensive travel to customer sites and hands-on expertise with steam and/or gas turbines.
Responsibilities
- Lead turbine service and maintenance projects at customer sites
- Act as the technical lead throughout project execution
- Coordinate field personnel, contractors and project activities
- Manage project schedules, resources and day-to-day site requirements
- Work directly with customers and provide technical support throughout projects
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Travel extensively to different job sites depending on project requirements
- Support project planning, mobilisation and close-out
- Maintain strong communication between field teams, customers and internal stakeholders
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience within turbine field service
- Experience working with steam turbines and/or gas turbines
- Previous experience leading field projects or acting as a technical lead
- Ability to manage projects while remaining technically hands-on
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Comfortable working extensively on customer sites and travelling from project to project
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Strong preference for experience with Westinghouse gas turbines
- Experience with Westinghouse/Siemens turbine equipment is highly desirable
