[Remote] QA Engineer 5472
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tier4 Group is seeking a QA Consultant to support a client’s multi-year technology modernization initiative. The role will focus on manual and automated quality engineering, including Java-based test automation, Playwright testing, REST API validation, database testing, and collaboration within Agile teams.
Responsibilities
- Test automation framework design, maintenance, and utilization
- Testing REST APIs using Java
- Designing reusable service/page objects
- Writing and maintaining clean, data-driven tests
- SQL and Database testing
Skills
- Must be in the EST or CST time zone and able to work EST hours
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering with significant experience in test automation framework design, maintenance, and utilization
- Proficiency in Java
- Experience with Playwright
- Experience testing REST APIs using Java
- Experience with Playwright's APIRequestContext
- Understanding of Cucumber BDD (Gherkin, step definitions, hooks)
- Experience designing reusable service/page objects
- Familiarity with JSON parsing and schema validation
- Experience with Git and CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Understanding of test automation best practices
- Ability to write and maintain clean, data-driven tests
- SQL and Database testing
- Good communication skills and experience working in Agile teams
- Experience within financial industry
- Performance testing experience
- Legacy-to-modern application migrations
- Test automation development using IBM RFT
