[Remote] QA Engineer (Playwright)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Meduvi is a company seeking a QA Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test suites for data integration pipelines. The role involves validating data flows between systems and requires strong test automation and data skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test scripts using Playwright and Python to validate data integration workflows (file ingestion, transformation, and delivery)
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity between source and target systems
• Test file-based integrations (CSV, XML, JSON, flat files, etc.) for correct formatting, schema compliance, and data transformation logic
• Build and maintain reusable test frameworks and reduce manual regression testing through automation
• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers and data engineers to resolve issues
• Validate ETL/ELT jobs and data pipeline outputs against business rules and requirements
• Collaborate with data engineering and product teams to understand integration specs and translate them into test cases
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
• Perform root cause analysis on data discrepancies and file processing failures
• Maintain clear documentation of test plans, test cases, and results

Skills

• 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, test automation, or a related role
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for automated testing
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation
• Strong SQL skills — able to write queries to validate, compare, and troubleshoot data across tables/databases
• Experience testing file-based data integrations (CSV, JSON, XML, or similar formats)
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or data warehousing concepts
• Understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
