[Remote] Quality Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CGI is an IT and business consulting services firm seeking a Quality Engineer to support AI and workforce management-related testing efforts for a high-profile client program. The role owns test strategy, automation, API and database validation, defect management, and quality practices within a collaborative Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans, including test plans, manual and automated test cases, and requirements traceability
- Build and maintain UI and API test automation using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and/or Python
- Validate RESTful APIs using Postman and verify database integrity using SQL
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups and sprint planning, to identify and communicate quality risks early
- Log, triage, track, and manage defects through resolution
Skills
- 3-8+ years of experience in software QA, testing, or engineering
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, SQL, and Unix/Linux scripting
- Hands on experience with Playwright, Selenium, and/or Cypress
- Experience with CI/CD tools and technologies, including Jenkins, Git, and Docker
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience in a regulated industry, such as financial services or healthcare, preferred
