[Remote] Remote Contract Electrical Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a highly proficient Electrical Engineer for a short-term contract to help finalize a mature hardware monitoring system. The engineer will perform design verification, make minor circuit corrections, troubleshoot USB and eMMC functionality, verify mechanical cable fit, and prepare the product for manufacturing in collaboration with firmware, software, mechanical, project management, and validation teams.
Responsibilities
- Design Verification: Prioritize and execute design verification using Altium software (and AI-driven analysis tools)
- Circuit Corrections: Fine tune design (component values, circuit board layouts, etc.) to meet specifications
- Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting on the USB and EMMC to ensure full functionality
- Mechanical Layout: Verify that all final cable connections fit properly into the mechanical enclosure
- Manufacturing Handoff: Finalize the design and prepare it to be sent to a third-party manufacturer for assembly and initial circuit board population
