[Remote] Remote Senior Software Engineer (Python)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kforce's client is a growing technology company seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python) for a fully remote role. The engineer will build and maintain cloud-connected SaaS and IoT solutions across the full software stack, develop APIs and backend systems, support cloud and CI/CD technologies, lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and services
- Build REST APIs, backend systems, and modern web applications
- Develop solutions using Python, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and SQL databases
- Work with cloud technologies in Azure and support CI/CD pipelines
- Implement event-driven architectures utilizing message brokers such as NATS, Kafka, or similar technologies
- Lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and participate in architecture and system design decisions
- Collaborate with product, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
Skills
- • 5+ years of software development experience
- • Strong hands-on experience with Python
- • Front-end development experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- • Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar databases
- • Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and scalable cloud applications
- • Experience leading projects or technical initiatives
- • Experience leading less experienced software developers would be ideal
- • Strong system design and problem-solving skills
- • Message brokers such as NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
- • Time-series databases or large-scale data environments
- • Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps/CI/CD practices
- • SaaS, IoT, or regulated industry experience
- • FedRAMP exposure
- • Golang experience
- • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools
