[Remote] Remote Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Turing is seeking a software engineer to contribute to projects that evaluate and enhance AI systems. The role involves solving software engineering and algorithmic problems, writing coding solutions, evaluating AI responses, and collaborating with researchers to improve AI code generation and reasoning.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will contribute to projects that help evaluate and enhance AI systems using your software engineering expertise and analytical problem-solving skills
- No prior AI experience is required
- These projects will help you explore how AI can be leveraged to improve software reasoning, coding accuracy, and development efficiency
- Design and solve real-world software engineering and algorithmic problems to test AI reasoning
- Write clear, step-by-step coding solutions across data structures, APIs, debugging, and optimization techniques
- Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to software design principles
- Collaborate with researchers to refine AI understanding of code generation, problem-solving, and real-world development workflows
Skills
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Developer, Engineer, or Programmer
- Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or Go
- Excellent English communication and ability to document and explain code logic clearly
- Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and agile development methodologies preferred
