[Remote] Report Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Heitmeyer Consulting is seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented Report Analyst for a remote opportunity. The role focuses on analyzing complex SBA lending datasets, developing executive-level reports and dashboards, creating data visualizations, and translating findings into actionable insights for senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and synthesize large, complex datasets, with a focus on SBA lending data, to identify trends, anomalies, and key insights
- Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for executive-level audiences
- Create clear, concise, and visually impactful charts and graphs to support strategic decision-making
- Perform root cause analysis across large volumes of responses/data and summarize findings into actionable insights
- Translate complex data into meaningful, executive-ready summaries that highlight key risks, trends, and opportunities
- Organize and structure reporting outputs to improve accessibility, usability, and clarity for senior leadership
- Support SBA loan pipeline management reporting, including tracking, monitoring, and summarizing loan activity
- Identify patterns and inconsistencies in data and recommend solutions to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions
- Continuously improve reporting processes and implement innovative, technology-driven approaches
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, lookups (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), pivot tables, and data modeling
- Demonstrated experience analyzing, organizing, and summarizing large datasets
- Strong ability to translate data into clear, concise insights for executive-level audiences
- Experience creating professional charts, graphs, and reporting dashboards
- Knowledge of SBA lending processes, data, and reporting considerations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment (standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule)
- High level of technical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience with Excel Macros/VBA
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and dashboarding
- Experience conducting root cause analysis across large-scale datasets
- Familiarity with loan pipeline reporting and lifecycle tracking within SBA or commercial lending
- Proven ability to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights within complex data environments
