[Remote] Rust / Rustification Engineer

The role focuses on rewriting services in Rust, validating behavioral equivalence, driving a safe production cutover, and using AI coding agents as the primary workflow.
Responsibilities
- Rewrites memory-heavy Java services in Rust to eliminate JVM overhead (garbage collector, heap, JIT)
- Prove the rewrite behaves identically, then drive a safe cutover
Skills
- Deep production Rust — ownership/borrowing, async/Tokio
- Enough Java understanding to prove the rewrite behaves identically
- Comfortable using AI coding agents as the primary workflow
