Remote Seasonal Customer Service Agent
About the position As a Contact Center Crew Member at Duluth Trading Company, you will be a front-line representative of the brand, providing customer service and helping customers with product inquiries, website navigation, order placement, and issue resolution. This is a remote seasonal position; new-hire paperwork, onboarding, and equipment pickup must be completed in person at the company’s Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin headquarters. The position requires at least 16 hours per week, with shifts of at least four hours and availability for additional hours during peak-volume weeks. Set shifts fall within 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. Training takes place during the first two weeks after the start date, with 25 hours of training each week and a mandatory live class on the first training day. The start date is November 16, 2026. Compensation is \$15.75 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Promptly answer incoming calls and provide service that exceeds customer expectations.
- Handle inquiries about products, pricing, promotions, and other concerns, and assist customers with placing orders by phone.
- Communicate sales and promotions effectively.
- Resolve issues involving defective items, lost orders, and refunds.
- Navigate the Duluth Trading website to assist customers.
- Track shipments and process price adjustments and shipping credits.
- Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, and company policies.
- Capture and maintain accurate customer information.
- Resolve customer concerns within authorized boundaries and meet or exceed key performance metrics.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Participate in individual and group coaching, role-playing, and skills training.
- Perform special assignments as directed.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Embody company values, promote cultural expectations, and recognize performance to support a positive work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience may also be considered.
- At least one year of relevant experience.
- Strong teamwork, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills for professional phone interactions.
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Computer proficiency, including web navigation and switching between systems.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Successful completion of all required training programs.
- Availability for at least 16 hours per week, with shifts of at least four hours, and additional hours during peak weeks.
- Ability to complete new-hire paperwork, onboarding, and equipment pickup in person at the Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin headquarters.
