[Remote] Security Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ASRC Federal is a government contractor supporting missions in space, public health, and defense. The Security Engineer will support a DHS program by securing cloud, data center, network, and application solutions, interpreting federal security requirements, and integrating compliance tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of the DHS security engineering experience
- Certifications and direct applicable experience in CEH, Amazon, Microsoft, Linux and Cloud
- Direct DHS experience engineering and integrating secure solutions in cloud, data centers, networks, applications using Linux, windows, identity solutions, databases, firewalls, and networks appliances
- Experience with Information Assurance Compliance tools (XACT, TAF, etc.)
- Knowledge of Federal Government Authorization processes (NIST 800-53,DHS 4300A, DIACAP)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in application security engineering support
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities; able to turn ambiguous requirements into actionable plans
- Experience working in a highly technical environment
- Be well versed in the current state of Information Security and be able to interpret security requirements of relevant governing bodies (NIST, OMB, DHS, etc.)
- Prior Public Trust or Security Clearance
