[Remote] Senior Accountant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Union Bay Risk Advisors is hiring a Senior Accountant to provide timely and accurate accounting and analysis in support of its high-growth independent insurance agency. The role focuses on revenue and commission reconciliation, monthly journal entries, accounting schedules, financial analysis, and support for FP&A and management.
Responsibilities
- Own the revenue and commission statement reconciliation
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Provide support and analytics to FP&A and Management
- Maintain various accounting schedules
- Conduct financial analysis as needed
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures/processes for the current tasks performed
Skills
- Bachelors in accounting/finance or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency, including sorting, filtering, lookups, and basic data analysis
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through
- Analytical thinking, reconciliation, research, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain audit-ready documentation and follow company policies, controls, and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Insurance Agency or Insurance company experience
- Agency Management System Experience (Hawksoft, EZLynx, Applied, ect.)
