[Remote] Senior Analyst, Application Development

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The AES Corporation is a global power company developing and operating renewable energy projects. AES Clean Energy is seeking a Senior Analyst, Application Development to analyze requirements, design and maintain business applications, manage product lifecycles, support testing and resolve issues. The role also provides user enablement, training, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product owners, product managers, stakeholders, and end users to gather, analyze, and document business and product requirements
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and scalable system designs
• Conduct feasibility assessments and impact analyses to evaluate potential solutions and recommendations
• Facilitate communication between technical and business teams to ensure alignment throughout the development process
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions using Quickbase, SQL, and other relevant technologies
• Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and data models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience
• Support continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to enhance existing systems and processes
• Support products and applications throughout their lifecycle, from initial concept and implementation through ongoing enhancements and optimization
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues while identifying opportunities to prevent future occurrences
• Monitor product performance and recommend improvements based on business needs and user feedback
• Provide support and knowledge sharing to team members and end users to promote operational excellence
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure applications meet business requirements and quality expectations
• Participate in system testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
• Identify, document, and resolve system defects and process issues
• Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and support documentation
• Deliver training and support to users, helping them maximize the value of application features, reporting capabilities, and data quality practice

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
• Experience supporting, implementing, or enhancing business applications, software platforms, or enterprise systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI is a plus
• Experience analyzing, modeling, and interpreting data to support business decision-making
• Familiarity with relational databases, data structures, and application support methodologies
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work successfully across diverse teams and stakeholder groups
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team-oriented environment

• Curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to contribute to both individual and team success
• Experience with Quickbase or similar low-code/no-code platforms is beneficial but not required
