[Remote] Senior C# / SQL Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The national retail and services organization is seeking a Senior C# / SQL Software Engineer for a fully remote role. The position combines C#/.NET software development with advanced SQL Server and T-SQL development, focusing on high-volume file processing, batch performance, microservices, REST APIs, and integration modernization.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-volume file-processing applications using C# and .NET
- Process CSV, flat-file, fixed-width, EDI, and proprietary file formats
- Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts
- Improve batch performance through query tuning, indexing, and optimized I/O handling
- Build automated validation, reconciliation, and error-handling frameworks
- Develop .NET 8 microservices and REST APIs
- Help modernize integrations from Informatica to SnapLogic
- Troubleshoot performance issues involving large record volumes
Skills
- Candidates must have production experience developing C#/.NET applications and writing and optimizing complex SQL for high-volume file and batch processing
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- This is a fully remote position with preference for candidates residing in the Eastern or Central time zones, particularly Illinois, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, or Georgia
- Approximately equal strength in C#/.NET and SQL Server/T-SQL development
- Experience building production file-ingestion or batch-processing applications
- Advanced SQL development and database performance-tuning skills
- Experience processing complex files and large record volumes
- Experience developing microservices and REST APIs
- Candidates working under F-1 OPT or CPT authorization cannot be considered
- SnapLogic, Informatica, Kafka, Salesforce integration, or Kubernetes experience is helpful
