[Remote] Senior Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Satsyil Corp. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a full-time remote role. The position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms for analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise reporting, while collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing data environments, ensuring data quality, and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms that support analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise reporting initiatives
- Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and application teams to understand data requirements, model data structures, and implement robust ETL/ELT processes
- Optimizing data warehouses and data lakes for performance and reliability, ensuring data quality and integrity, and helping define best practices for data engineering across projects
- Developing and deploying data solutions in cloud and on-prem environments, monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to technical documentation and standards
- Mentoring team members, evaluating new tools and technologies, and supporting secure, compliant data solutions for federal and commercial clients
Skills
- Strong data engineering skills, including experience with building scalable data pipelines, data integration, and working with large, complex datasets
- Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing, with the ability to design efficient schemas and optimize storage and query performance
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, including developing, scheduling, and monitoring ETL/ELT workflows
- Background in data analytics, with the ability to enable reporting, dashboards, and analytical workloads through well-structured data solutions
- Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data ecosystems (e.g., data lakes, distributed processing frameworks)
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering (such as Python, SQL, Scala, or Java) and version control tools
