[Remote] Senior Front End Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Maximus provides technology and consulting services through its Technology and Consulting Services division. The Senior Front End Developer will perform front-end engineering and development, including designing GUIs, creating wireframes and mockups, optimizing UI elements and navigation, and supporting user-facing feature development. The role also requires experience with software development, testing, Agile methodologies, cloud environments, DevSecOps, and leading software development programs or projects.
Responsibilities
- Shall perform engineering tasks for front-end design and development efforts including, but not limited to, creating technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and other associated documentation for PMO and stakeholder review, planning and implementing modifications to Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs), constructing and optimizing various UI elements, optimizing system navigation practices and elements, and facilitating operator ease of use for user-facing feature development
Skills
- Secret clearance is required; Top Secret or TS/SCI preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
- 10 years of overall experience in the functional area
- 10 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with the ability to apply several tool suites related to DevSecOps, microservices and containers
- 5 years of recent and relevant experience performing front-end web design and development
- Demonstrated experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests and results to verify system operability and compliance with project standards and requirements
- Demonstrated experience engaging in agile, user-centric application design, ensuring best-of-breed UI/UX standards
- Demonstrated experience in generating system wireframes, mockups, etc. considering multiple user personas
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing UX design tool suites (e.g., Sketch, InVision)
- 5 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira)
- 5 years of experience testing web-based applications
- 5 years of experience leading software development programs/projects
- Practical experience developing in a cloud environment
- Experience designing, developing, testing, sustaining software in an Agile Software development environment
- SAFe SA
- Experience using Agile Test Driven development
- Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments
