[Remote] Senior Full Stack Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The client is a rapidly scaling technology company operating at the intersection of financial technology, payments, and digital products. The Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer will develop backend APIs, services, integrations, and data architecture while contributing to frontend development, owning projects across design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop backend applications, APIs, and services that support critical product and payment workflows
- Lead complex initiatives through technical discovery, system design, development, deployment, and long-term ownership
- Build and maintain connections with external APIs, technology partners, vendors, and third-party platforms
- Help shape service architecture, database design, development patterns, and overall platform direction
- Partner with frontend and mobile developers to deliver complete, reliable product functionality
- Identify and address bottlenecks involving application performance, scalability, uptime, and reliability
- Strengthen development workflows through better automated testing, monitoring, logging, and observability
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, sprint planning, production incidents, and other engineering initiatives
- Serve as a senior technical resource on backend projects, providing direction while maintaining high standards for code quality and system design
- Balance near-term product requirements with architectural decisions that support continued growth
Skills
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with substantial backend development experience
- Proven background developing RESTful APIs, data models, and scalable backend services
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and AWS
- Familiarity with modern frontend development, particularly React and TypeScript
- Experience designing or working with distributed, cloud-based, and highly available systems
- Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects from technical requirements and architecture through production release
- Strong understanding of software architecture, with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, maintainability, and long-term system health
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong production experience building software with Python ; experience with Django is highly desirable
