[Remote] Senior Full Stack Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Spectrum Search is partnered with an early-stage AI-enabled financial technology company building software for complex B2B financial workflows. The Senior Full Stack Engineer will own customer-facing systems across backend services, data models, APIs, frontend experiences, testing, and production operations, including high-volume financial transactions, enterprise integrations, AI-powered workflows, and real-time data pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-volume payment processing systems and secure financial APIs
- Develop full stack, customer-facing features from initial requirements through production release
- Build and maintain integrations with enterprise resource planning and financial systems
- Develop LLM-powered workflows supporting financial decision-making, matching, communications and operational processes
- Build real-time data pipelines processing large volumes of financial records
- Develop automation for accounts receivable and related financial workflows
- Create evaluation frameworks, observability and guardrails for production AI features
- Work directly with users and customer feedback to shape product decisions
- Monitor shipped features and take ownership of their ongoing performance and customer experience
Skills
- Strong experience as a backend-leaning full stack software engineer, with recent ownership of production systems and user-facing features
- Backend expertise using a model-view-controller framework such as Ruby on Rails, Django or Spring Boot
- Advanced experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
- Proven ability to ship across backend, frontend, database schema and testing without relying on extensive hand-offs
- Experience working in an environment with rapid product iteration and meaningful engineering ownership
- Practical use of AI-assisted development tools and workflows
- Strong ability to translate product requirements into clear, scoped technical work
- Willingness to engage directly with users and take responsibility beyond initial feature release
- This is a full-time, remote position for candidates based in the US
- The team meets in person for quarterly off-sites in the US, and attendance is required
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Experience shipping agentic AI or LLM features into production
- Experience with AI evaluation systems, A/B testing or multi-armed bandit approaches
- Relevant experience in fintech, payments, billing or other financial systems
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, AWS or Terraform
