[Remote] Senior Full Stack Engineer - Python, AWS with React
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to work with a client and collaborate with US-based teams across time zones. The role focuses on developing full-stack applications with Python, JavaScript, and React, while building AWS cloud infrastructure, managing containerized deployments, optimizing databases, and maintaining high-quality technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Python, JavaScript, and React
- Build and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Implement containerized solutions using Docker and manage deployments on EKS
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries for performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly
- Document technical solutions and maintain clear communication with the team
- Maintain availability during US business hours until 1:00 PM ET, extending to 5:00 PM ET when the Engineering Lead is out of office
- Attend critical meetings or handle urgent issues outside standard hours when needed
Skills
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (ES6+), and React for building scalable full-stack applications
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and EKS for cloud infrastructure and containerized deployments
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS design, optimization, and management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
- Proven track record of delivering full-stack applications in production environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud applications
- Previous experience in financial services or enterprise environments
