[Remote] Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will lead the end-to-end design, development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of cloud-native applications serving millions of users, while applying AI-driven engineering practices across the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design: Partner with Product and Design to translate business requirements into technical designs, leveraging AI to accelerate requirements analysis, solution exploration, technical specifications and implementation planning
- Development: Build scalable full-stack applications using Node.js, Vue.js/React, JavaScript/TypeScript and cloud-native technologies while leveraging AI-assisted development and agentic coding workflows to accelerate implementation
- Code Quality: Leverage AI-assisted code reviews and analysis to identify defects, security risks, architectural inconsistencies, code duplication and opportunities for greater component and service reusability
- Testing: Use AI to develop and continuously improve comprehensive automated testing across unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, and performance testing
- Deployment: Own applications through production deployment using automated CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices, leveraging AI-driven automation where appropriate
- Monitoring & Operations: Own production health through observability, performance monitoring, alerting and incident response, using AI-assisted analysis to accelerate troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and remediation
- Continuous Improvement: Use production telemetry, customer behavior, incidents and engineering metrics to identify opportunities to continuously improve product quality, reliability, performance and maintainability
- Architect and develop scalable services using Node.js and modern application frameworks
- Build dynamic, responsive user experiences using Vue.js/React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Design APIs, services and integration patterns that enable reusable capabilities across applications
- Build serverless and containerized applications for scalable cloud deployment
- Design software for performance, security, resilience, observability and maintainability
- Apply strong architectural principles and engineering judgment when evaluating and validating AI-generated solutions
- Champion AI-driven software engineering practices across the complete development lifecycle
- Continuously experiment with and adopt modern AI development tools, coding agents, and engineering automation that improve developer productivity and software quality
- Treat AI-generated code with the same engineering rigor as human-written code, ensuring solutions meet architectural, security, performance, testing, and maintainability standards
- Write clean, modular, reusable and maintainable code following established engineering standards
- Identify opportunities to create reusable components, services, patterns, and automation rather than duplicating solutions across products
- Participate in technical design and code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Contribute to architecture decisions and platform improvements
- Share effective AI-assisted engineering techniques and best practices across the team
- Take full ownership of features and services from concept and technical design through production deployment, monitoring, and ongoing optimization
- Work closely with Product, Design, Platform, CloudOps and other engineering teams to deliver business outcomes
- Proactively identify and remove technical blockers rather than waiting for direction
- Communicate technical concepts, design decisions, risks, and trade-offs effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrate strong ownership and urgency in driving deliverables through the finish line
- Build solutions and documentation that enable other engineers to understand, maintain, and extend your work
Skills
- Strong proficiency in server-side JavaScript/TypeScript development with Node.js
- Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue.js and/or React
- Deep understanding of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, API design, and distributed application architecture
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases in production environments
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL services
- Strong understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and modern DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience using AI-powered software development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or comparable coding agents as part of day-to-day software development
- Demonstrated ability to use AI effectively across multiple stages of the software development lifecycle not simply for code generation
- Strong engineering fundamentals and the judgment to critically evaluate, test and improve AI-generated solutions
- Independent problem solver capable of taking ambiguous problems from concept through production
- Strong sense of ownership and urgency with a track record of driving work through completion
- AI-first and continuous-learning mindset with curiosity for emerging engineering technologies and development practices

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong analytical, architectural, and problem-solving skills

- Hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native applications; experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus
