[Remote] Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering

The Senior Manager will lead the Application Development team, modernize legacy systems, implement AI-assisted and low-code/no-code development practices, and make architectural decisions. The role also manages project portfolios, timelines, resources, and stakeholder alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of developers working across both legacy and modern applications
- Develop and execute strategies aimed at modernizing legacy systems, maintaining business continuity throughout the transition
- Implement AI-assisted development practices to boost team productivity and improve code quality
- Oversee the integration of low-code/no-code platforms and business rules engines into the development workflow
- Drive technical innovation and make crucial architectural decisions
- Manage project portfolios, ensuring effective timeline management and resource allocation
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in software development
- At least 5 years of management experience in application development
- 3+ years of strong expertise in maintaining and modernizing legacy systems
- 1+ year of experience utilizing AI/ML tools in the development process
- 3+ years of experience with any large public cloud such as Google Cloud Platform
- 1+ years of experience working with Docker /Kubernetes
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
- Knowledge of low-code/no-code platforms and business rules engines
- Proven success in leading digital transformation initiatives
- Legacy systems maintenance and modernization
- Expertise in modern development frameworks and languages
- Knowledge of business rules engines
- Understanding of cloud technologies
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
