[Remote] Senior Software Engineer (C#)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nava is a consultancy and public benefit corporation working to make government services simple and effective. The Senior Software Engineer leads distributed engineering teams, drives system migrations, collaborates with government stakeholders, and improves software engineering quality through technical guidance, documentation, mentoring, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Leading a distributed engineering team to design, review, and build well-crafted software
- Collaborate with government partners and other contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements to existing systems
- Working in an agile manner to efficiently ship new features that meet user needs
- Creating tools and processes to automate our development, testing, and production workflows
- Writing and reviewing technical documentation, performing code reviews
- Participating in an on-call rotation to support production systems and investigate issues when they occur
- Taking part in hiring activities (e.g., submitting referrals, conducting interviews, and attending interview debriefs), as needed
Skills
- * Experience in C#/.NET, designing and implementing RESTful APIS and microservice architecture
- * Hands on experience deploying and operating applications in Microsoft Azure
- * Experience working on large-scale applications and systems
- * Experience with cloud-native architecture, scalability, and performance optimization
- * Knowledge of secure software development practices and authentication/authorization patterns
- * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- * Familiarity with Git-based workflows and modern software development practices
- * Experience leading engineering teams and providing technical direction and architecture guidance
- * Ability to review code, mentor engineers, and enforce engineering standards
- * Experience working in Agile development environments
- * Strong communication skills to collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholder
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired
