[Remote] Senior Software Engineer Full Stack Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Leonardo DRS develops infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles, and airborne platforms. The Senior Software Engineer Full Stack Developer will develop, test, and maintain data collection, processing, storage, and viewing tools supporting infrared sensor and system development and testing.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for software engineering tasks including requirements/user story definition, software application and library design, implementation, integration, verification, validation and maintenance
- Responsible for adhering to the DRS engineering processes
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of experience in full stack web development/software engineering
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Senior developer level proficiency with the following languages/frameworks:
- + TypeScript/JavaScript
- + React
- + Python
- + Go
- + GRPC
- + Microservices
- + Kubernetes
- + Docker
- Senior developer level proficiency with databases including relational and/or non-relational databases such as SQL Server and MongoDB
- Senior developer level proficiency with source control systems such as git
- Proficiency following an established software engineering process (Scrum preferred)
- Experience with product ownerships/requirements engineering is a plus
- College level mathematics (calculus, statistics, linear algebra, etc.)
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new software engineering technologies and methodologies
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and within the framework of a multi-discipline team
- U.S. Citizenship required
- This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
