[Remote] Senior Technical Program Manager

ProFound People is seeking a senior program leader to own a large-scale network migration portfolio across data center, backbone, and edge domains. The role drives complex migrations on live production infrastructure, including cutover planning, dependency sequencing, go/no-go criteria, and coordination across engineering, operations, and vendor teams.
Responsibilities
- Own a large-scale network migration portfolio across data center, backbone, and edge domains, hundreds of concurrent activities, executed on live production infrastructure carrying real traffic
- Drive platform swaps, link speed upgrades, architecture retrofits, optical conversions, and equipment forklifts where the margin for error is genuinely zero, one wrong step in a cutover window creates an outage
- Drive cutover planning under real constraints, sequencing dependencies across interdependent network layers, defining go and no-go criteria, and coordinating engineering, operations, and vendor teams on tight execution windows
- Provide programme leadership, with enough technical fluency to understand migration dependencies and unblock issues, not deep hands-on network engineering
- Drive complex infrastructure programmes to completion in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments, and distill hundreds of concurrent activities into a clear, credible narrative for senior leadership
Skills
- Ten or more years of program management in network infrastructure, cloud, data center, or hyperscale environments
- Direct experience with network migrations, platform replacements, or large-scale infrastructure modernization on live production systems, not build-only experience
- Genuine cutover planning expertise, sequencing, rollback readiness, validation gates, and the judgment to know when to proceed and when to abort
- Portfolio management at real scale, concurrent activity across multiple sites or regions with full visibility and control
- Strong cross-functional influence without direct authority, coordinating engineering, operations, vendors, and construction teams
- This is a remote, US-based, full-time role with up to 15% travel for site visits and migration support
- Hyperscale, carrier, or large enterprise experience with high-availability requirements strongly preferred
