[Remote] SEO Intern- JMU Students Only
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CJ Pony Parts is hiring an SEO & Content Marketing Intern to support its SEM team. The intern will contribute to SEO and content marketing through content updates and creation, keyword and competitor research, GEO initiatives, and analysis of opportunities to improve organic search performance.
Responsibilities
- Learn and apply SEO best practices to content writing, editing, and research
- Research AI search trends and support Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives on platforms such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini
- Use AI-powered tools to assist with content creation, research, editing, and SEO optimization
- Update existing website content with new product information and current model-year details
- Create and refresh category descriptions and assist with original Resource Center articles
- Conduct competitor research and content gap analyses
- Identify opportunities to improve internal linking and backlink acquisition efforts
- Monitor automotive industry news and share relevant updates with the team
- Learn to use keyword research, analytics, and SEO tools to identify content improvement opportunities
Skills
- Currently enrolled at James Madison University
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Interest in digital marketing, SEO, content strategy, and emerging AI technologies
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, keyword research, and content optimization
- Experience with blogging, academic writing, content creation, or digital marketing coursework
- Interest in the automotive industry and enthusiast communities
