[Remote] Serverless Backend Developer — Cloudflare Workers & D1
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Steelwater Ltd builds software for healthcare environments and is seeking a developer for a pilot product's backend data layer. The role involves rebuilding a Cloudflare Workers and D1 setup, receiving event data over HTTPS, storing it in D1, and creating aggregate reporting for non-technical administrators while preserving strict data minimization.
Responsibilities
- A Cloudflare Workers endpoint receiving event data over HTTPS, stored in D1, with aggregate reporting that a non-technical administrator can act on
- An existing Workers and D1 setup will need rebuilding against current requirements
- Production experience with Cloudflare Workers and D1, or equivalent serverless platforms
- Comfort designing a schema from a written specification
- The judgment to flag an ambiguous requirement before building against it
- A short paid specification review comes first: you read the spec, return questions and anything you would build differently, and we finalize it before implementation
- Send a short note, your rate, and something you have built that shows how you structure backend work
