[Remote] Software Developer Sr

They are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Dayforce Platform Extensibility team, focusing on evolving the Workflow platform to enhance scalability and extensibility while integrating AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve core capabilities within the Dayforce Workflow platform
- Contribute to AI-enabled orchestration and intelligent automation initiatives, leveraging AI as a force multiplier to evolve workflow capabilities and developer productivity across Dayforce
- Design and build scalable backend services, extensible APIs, and orchestration capabilities
- Improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of high-volume workflow systems
- Drive technical design, engineering standards, and operational excellence through modern development practices, observability, maintainability, and platform-focused architecture
- Mentor teammates, contribute to technical leadership, and help raise the engineering bar across the team
Skills
- Hands-on experience building or prototyping AI-enabled applications, agents, or orchestration workflows using LLMs and modern AI frameworks
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent as part of day-to-day development workflows and as a practical force multiplier for teams
- Strong experience building and maintaining production-grade enterprise applications with C#/.NET
- Experience designing scalable backend services, extensible APIs, and reusable platform capabilities
- Strong SQL Server expertise, including performance tuning, query optimization, concurrency, and troubleshooting at scale
- Experience building distributed, high-volume systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Practical experience with Azure and modern cloud development patterns
- Ability to communicate with clarity across all levels—from technical design discussions with engineers to translating platform strategy and trade-offs for leadership
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across backend systems, distributed services, and platform infrastructure
- Experience with modern development practices, CI/CD workflows, observability, structured logging, and operational reliability
- Strong engineering judgment—balancing scalability, maintainability, platform evolution, and pragmatic delivery
- Experience building or evolving workflow orchestration platforms or similar enterprise platform capabilities
- Experience developing reusable platform services and extensible APIs that support multiple product domains
- Experience applying AI-enabled orchestration or intelligent automation within enterprise software
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers while remaining hands-on with development
