[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HERDABLE is an innovative technology-driven company transforming the use of urban real estate and infrastructure through technology, logistics, and product development. The Software Engineer will design, build, and scale full-stack applications, APIs, and platforms supporting marketplace, logistics, and infrastructure products while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain full-stack web applications and APIs supporting the company's technology and logistics platforms
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into high-quality software solutions
- Build scalable, reliable and efficient frontend and backend systems
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following engineering best practices
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions and technical planning
- Optimize application performance, scalability and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes and continuous product improvement
- Help develop technology that connects digital platforms with physical infrastructure and real-world business operations
Skills
- Approximately 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience, including demonstrated full-stack development
- Proficiency in a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue or similar
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), Ruby on Rails or similar
- Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, testing, Git, data structures and algorithms
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in building and improving products
- Experience in marketplace technology, logistics, real estate technology or operational platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and infrastructure-as-code
- TypeScript experience
- Experience developing technology that supports physical operations or distributed business networks
- Candidates must be based in the U.S. East Coast or Midwest to ensure effective collaboration and alignment with the company's operating hours and teams
- Hebrew language skills are a plus, but not required
