[Remote] Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HealthChannels, the parent organization of ScribeAmerica and other healthcare workforce and technology brands, provides point-of-care workforce solutions using skilled personnel and AI technology. The Software Engineer will design, build, and scale enterprise integrations connecting Google Cloud and Workspace infrastructure with Workday and other systems, while leading full-stack development, architecture decisions, code quality, system operations, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance scalable software solutions and API integrations connecting Workday with internal Google services and third-party systems
• Apply technical expertise to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while aligning engineering efforts with broader organizational goals
• Lead and participate in technical design reviews with cross-functional peers and business stakeholders to evaluate trade-offs and select optimal technology stacks
• Review code written by team members, providing construct feedback to ensure adherence to best practices in accuracy, testability, security, style guidelines, and execution efficiency
• Triage, debug, and resolve complex product or system issues by analyzing underlying causes across services, APIs, networks, and data pipelines to maintain peak operational quality
• Author and maintain technical documentation, system guides, and developer resources, adapting content continuously based on product updates and platform feedback

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript), with strong foundations in data structures and algorithms
• 3+ years of experience testing, maintaining, and launching production software products
• 1+ year of experience in software design and end-to-end architecture
• Hands-on experience developing within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Workspace APIs, or Google Apps Script
• Proven track record building enterprise integrations with modern SaaS HRIS/Finance platforms (specifically Workday APIs, Web Services, REST, or Workday Studio)
• Strong track record of technical leadership, full-stack problem-solving, and a proactive approach to tackling complex engineering challenges
