[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. IT Resources is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and support modern software solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. The role is responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable applications, using AI-assisted development tools responsibly, collaborating across teams, and supporting testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar technologies to enhance productivity while ensuring code quality and security
- Review and validate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, security, and maintainability before implementation
- Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues
- Develop automated testing solutions and contribute to CI/CD pipeline initiatives
- Research emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions, and recommend improvements to development processes and engineering workflows
- Provide constructive feedback on application design, architecture, and code quality while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Successfully manage assigned work and deliver results within established timelines, including projects with aggressive deadlines

- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

- • Experience analyzing, debugging, profiling, and optimizing existing codebases
- • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges
- Remote, but initial weeks will be on-site and must be willing to come in for occasional meetings
