[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. High Trail is partnering with a client seeking an early-career software engineer with solid programming and SQL fundamentals. The role involves developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting Oracle enterprise applications while collaborating with senior engineers and business stakeholders, participating in Agile/Scrum processes, and supporting reporting needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Oracle enterprise applications, including features, enhancements, configurations, and extensions
- Support and troubleshoot Oracle applications, including break/fix issues and production support
- Perform unit, functional, and regression testing and help validate Oracle patches/configuration changes
- Work with senior engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and development processes
- Maintain documentation for code, applications, reports, and technical issues
- Support reporting needs and help business users access and understand existing reports
Skills
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT , or related field or equivalent experience
- • Foundational programming experience with PL/SQL, JavaScript, Python, Java, Apex , or similar
- • Understanding of Git, testing, debugging, and software development fundamentals
- • Basic SQL and relational database knowledge, preferably Oracle
- • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- • Willingness to learn and work under senior engineers
