[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Spafax is seeking a Software Engineer to modernize, expand, and support a cloud media platform spanning cloud and on-premises environments. The role focuses on application development, systems integration, infrastructure, observability, automation, API integrations, containerized workloads, and production support, including participation in an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Modernize and extend internal tooling
- Build and support software across cloud and on-premises environments
- Develop and maintain API integrations with internal and external services
- Build services and automation using TypeScript/JavaScript and Python
- Define infrastructure using AWS CDK
- Deploy and support containerized workloads with Docker and ECS
- Contribute to internal tools and web applications using React
- Implement telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and observability best practices
- Participate in on-call support for production systems
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows
- Work with relational and non-relational databases
- Contribute to architecture, technical decision-making, and roadmap planning
- Use AI tooling effectively and responsibly to improve engineering productivity and quality
Skills
- 3+ years building and supporting production software systems
- 3+ years of experience working across cloud and/or on-premises environments
- 3+ years of AWS experience using AWS CDK to deploy and manage infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and Python
- Experience designing and integrating with APIs
- 3+ years of experience using Containers in Production Environments (Docker and ECS)
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Experience supporting production applications and participating in operational ownership
- Experience implementing telemetry and observability practices
- Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and best practices
- Media workflow or digital supply chain experience
- FFmpeg or media transcoding experience
- React experience
- Airtable experience
- Familiarity with MPA/TPN or similar security standards
