[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CodeX Tech-IT LLC is seeking a product-focused Software Engineer to join its Core Platform team. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems, backend services, APIs, databases, and data pipelines while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver features safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code; participate in thorough code reviews
- Design and optimize database schemas (SQL and NoSQL) and data pipelines
- Operate and troubleshoot production systems (on-call rotation, 8am-8pm, one week per month)
- Collaborate on system architecture decisions and roadmap planning
- Contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Skills
- • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience (post-graduation, internships not counted)
- • Strong proficiency in Python or Go (or TypeScript/Java at some companies)
- • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems fundamentals
- • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) – compute, storage, networking
- • Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
- • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally
- • Experience with LLM/GenAI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) or building AI-powered features
- • Experience with real-time streaming (Kafka, Kinesis) or event-driven architectures
- • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong technical blog
